Georgia O¹Keeffe was an American abstract painter, famous for the purity and lucidity of her still-life compositions. In 1916 the American photographer and art gallery director Alfred Stieglitz (whom she married in 1924) became interested in her abstract drawings and exhibited them at his gallery in New York City and in other important institutions. O'Keeffe moved to New Mexico in 1949, and is best known for her large paintings of desert flowers and scenery, in which single blossoms or objects such as a cow's skull are presented in close-up views. Prince Dominik torments his father with his aversion to marriage so much that the king has him locked up in an old tower. In prison, the prince is discovered by the water nymph Aneta, who is enchanted by the young man's beauty. She boasts about her latest discovery to her friend, the genie Létavec. However, he objects to the nymph, saying that the most beautiful creature is the emperor's daughter, Princess Budúr, who rejects all suitors. The magical beings bring their favorites together so they can compare their charms. However, they have no idea that this fateful meeting will cause Prince Dominik and Princess Budúr to fall in love.

A teenage boy, Bendegúz Regős, who has never succeeded at anything in his life and of whom the only thing people remember is: "I wish they had hanged you when you were two days old", drops out of school and is hired by his mother to be a cowherd with the help of a clutch. That's how he ends up with the harami-faced Bacter Szabo, who has to graze the cows by the railway. But even though Bendegúz is a well-meaning boy, he is usually "in trouble" by the time he has "finished his purpose...". The boy is subjected to a lot of humiliation, even if he has the sense to keep to himself. But his good humour never fails him. In the outskirts of Vecsés and Ferihegy, to make the cows fat, he is forced to graze in a forbidden area, which gets him a good beating from the peasants. But his life is made worse by his bacterial mother-in-law, the Stinky Witch, who turns even clean water into vinegar in his mouth. She is as flat as a flame from the front and as curvy as St. Gellert's Hill from the back.
